Road Trip

Well, last Monday evening we set out for Springfield, MO. It is a 10 hour drive from Woodstock, GA. Mom and Dad thought it would be best to drive through the night, so I could sleep. I was fine with that. At first, I was really excited to be leaving, so it took me awhile to fall asleep. But, I was out before we hit the GA-TN border. It rained and rained. We got to Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa's about 5 AM! Of course, that is 6 AM my time. I ate breakfast and went to bed, so mom and dad could sleep. I met my cousins on dad's side Katie, Shaen and Jackson on Tuesday afternoon. I got a bit jealous when mom was holding Jackson. I cannot wait until we can play together. He's just a little guy.

Wednesday, I got to go to Bass Pro with Dad. It was really neat. I saw lots of animals, fish, boats, sporting goods, etc. Dad bought me a Bass Pro onesie and a KC Chiefs sleeper. I cannot wait to wear it all. I also got to try peas today. I love them! I had a great day talking to my great-grandparents. Great-Grandpa and I had our own conversation. It was great! He loves to make me laugh! I babble a lot now. I even babble mummm-mummmm.

Thursday, I met even more relatives! It was turkey day. I got to sit in the dining room with the grown-ups. Very exciting.

Well, that's all for now. I will be posting some pictures later and more news about my exciting trip!

My new thing

I love when my parents read to me. Mom went to the store and bought me some new books and to the library and checked out some other books. But, my favorite to hold and look at is Clap Your Hands with Elmo. I like the puppet that is in the book. I guess because he is soft and I want to chew on him.

I love solids!

I have been trying all sorts of new foods the past week or so. I like carrots, sweet potatoes, and summer squash, but not so crazy about green beans. I can be a messy eater, but I am good and do not put my hands on the spoon. I think my next new food will be corn or peas. I am learning to like all the veggies, then the doctor said I can try some fruit.

Look at me!

I am standing up. I was fussy and trying to get down from Mom's lap, so she stood me up next to the ottoman and I held on. I was holding on with one and hand exploring with the other. I was trying to get at the Elmo book, but it fell off the ottoman.

6 Months Old

I am going to be 6 months tomorrow. 1/2 year already. Time sure flies. I went to the doctor and I weighed 16 lbs 10 oz and I am 26 inches long. I started eating some solids. I have had rice cereal, avocado and sweet potato so far. I am trying really hard to sit up. I can balance on my own for a bit. I am also working on getting my legs up under me. I like to talk and laugh with my parents. Hershey is taking more of an interest in me, but I think it is the food she is really after.
